July 2008 - We have received some very positive feedback from The Dudley Arms, in Himley, Staffordshire. This was one of the first places to install a QBeta system for its busy carvery last year, and has since seen a marked improvement in sales and profits. although the system was originally installed purely to improve customer service.
Before the system was installed at The Dudley Arms, customers would often have to queue for up to half an hour for their meal, and during this time many left their drinks on a table to reserve it. Other potential customers would see the queue's length, and decide to eat elsewhere instead.
Since the installation, customers can now relax at a table with their drinks and QBeta ticket while they wait for their number to be displayed. Many are buying a second or third drink before their meal is ready, thus increasing the pub's wet sales. Other potential customers, previously put off by the queue's length, are now returning, improving food sales by between twenty and thirty percent.
